Many Chinese netizens would like Thailand to be their neighbour: survey

By THE SUNDAY NATION

INTERNET users in China have voted Thailand as one of the seven countries they want to be a neighbour of the People’s Republic.

The Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing received the information from the Huanqiu news agency, which carried out a survey of netizens last year.

In a letter of congratulations from the agency to the Thai Embassy in Beijing, it was disclosed that around 200,000 online voters had chosen Thailand as one of the countries that Chinese people wanted to be neighbouring country.

And thank god Thailand is not a neighboring country to China,

could you just imagine millions of them flocking and flooding every inch

of this country with their Chinese manners and left hand drive cars?.....

So, will Laos or Burma obligingly adjust their borders?

Would closer to home for the Chinese mean Zero Baht tours  become Sub-Zero  ?

A match made in heaven.

easy

just invade Burma and Laos

probably not too far in the future

Moving towards becoming a province of China so they may get their wish.

One day if China continues it aggressive policies,

Thailand could be a province of China.

Could you imagine it! I would sooner be a neighbour of NK.

"INTERNET users in China have voted Thailand as one of the seven countries they want to be a neighbour of the People’s Republic."

Funny. After all, Thailand is progressively slipping into her role of an unofficial exclave of the People's Republic. Or should I say "quasi-colony" just to rouse the anger of local ultra nationalists, who are ironically enough mostly of Chinese descent?

Not to worry Mr. Xi has already started the assimilation process.

Soon Thailand will be a province of China. Like Kalingrad is for Russia.

If I were Lao or Burmese I would be a bit worried!

Could be  worse ,  better  than   being a neighbor of  UK , or  the US of A .

                 Nee Ow..   555

A neighbor ...same as Tibet.

Ah yes. Netizens.... Wise, all knowing, representative of an entire country.

The communist controlled Huanqiu news agency also reported that only 14 Chinese citizens were  executed for giving the wrong answer during this survey.

A drop of 34% since the last survey.

Oh no, what a horrible scenario..    which could become true if China would takeover Laos.

Shouldn't be a problem for them. Just invade Laos and they will have that.

That is a work in progress...

A bit to late. Large swaths of both Burma and Laos are already in the hands of the Chinese. Given current trends I would guess that within two generations some of the land will be annexed.

What was the context of the survey?  Was it like the ones that get passed around on Facebook or was it people who might actually have put some time and thought into it?

An online IQ test could really be narrowed down to just one question, "Are you dumb enough to spend 20 minutes on an online IQ test?"

Possible aspiration for the future, after they 'own' all of the South China Sea.

Highway coming
