Extension of O-A non immigrant Visa??

Featured Replies

Does anyone in TV land have experience of the current up to date requirements needed for extension of stay on a Non Imm O-A visa(retirement),

especially at Nahkon SriThammarat immigration.

That would be requirements other than the 800,000 thb in the bank account.

If you are on monthly income sourced from overseas via superannuation etc and need verification of same.

Understand you need to obtain income statement from your own embassy.

Is there anything else required that I'm not aware of.

Thanks

You are aware that visa allows entry just before expiration date (one year from issue) and a new year entry is allowed?  If that is ending you extend as from any other non immigrant visa entry for retirement with 800k in bank account here 2 months (3 months after first time) or 65k per month income (letter from your Embassy) or combination to meet 800k per year amount.  Normal copies of passport/entry card and proof of residence normally required.

Would you state:

1) What's the "ENTER BEFORE" date on your Non O-A visa (sticker)?

2) What's the "ADMITTED UNTIL" date on the stamp from your (last) entry to Thailand?

As lopburi3 already mentioned: if the visa as such has not expired (1) then you could get another year by a simple out/in border run.

If you have already done this, then forget my post

Thanks guys for info so far.......I have done the in-out on the original visa and received additional

one year stay. The end of my granted one year stay is due to expire in April 2017 requiring

application for another 1 year.

However,,my question was directed specifically to Nahkon Sri where i have to apply due to residence,

there are overall rules i know but many IO's enforce different interpretations to those rules..

cheers

Hi, I have a one year non-immigrant O-A multi entry , and intend to do a border out/in before expiry, when I return to Thai immigration at the airport is it just a straight forward one year extension stamp in my passport ?

Thanks for any info

It will be the same one year permitted to stay stamp that you received on first, or any other entry.  Just make sure you do it while the original visa is still valid for use.
