My Chinese gf is in Thailand on a 60 day tourist visa and plans to join me in the Maldives for Christmas.  Will she be able to obtain a re-entry permit from the immigration office in Bangkok before travelling? 

I have heard conflicting views. Some info about visas are free from 1 Dec for a period, so no-entry permits. No re-entry because she is Chinese.

 

I would be grateful for any advice.

 

She wants to continue her vacation in Thailand after Christmas.

There are no strings attached to the free tourist visa.

No country's nationals are excluded from the right to get a re-entry permit.
