Non B Visa Void

Featured Replies

my passport has Void stamp on it from thai embassy on a non b visa as I wanted to withdraw my application due to my flight is near when I got my pp back.

so I will be travelling to thailand on a VOA as I will talk to my company about wp3 form and about the contract.

I wanna know will there be problem if I go there and get a VOA if I am making a visit for 10 days to talk and celebrate my Christmas there

I see no reason why the cancelled visa should be a problem.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

A inflammatory post has been removed.

Hopefully they will stamp you in and say nothing.  But I would suggest you enter the country with at least 20K Baht in cash or travelers checks, even though 10K might be the required sum, and limit discussion of your reason for coming to holiday.  Maybe you canceled the B-Visa because you got a better job, back home, to which you will be returning after your holiday - so this will only be a short trip.

Non B VISAS are not normally canceled, extensions on that visa can be if you leave Thailand for a holiday at home without getting an exit re-entry permt that keeps your extesion valid.

They have an expiration date, and as long as they are srill valid (not past their expiation date) they remain valid.

I suspect that you got a work permit and an extension of your time in Thailand based on employment there

Then you left Thailand without getting an exit re-entry permit to return.

It is that exit re-entry permit that should have kept your extension on your Non B valid untol your return.

Without that exit re-entry permit your extension of stay for employment was cabceled when you left Thailand.

Look carefully at your Non B visa and see if there is a "must enter before" date on it.

And is it now past that date?

If so that "Must enter before" date is the effetive expiration date of the Non B visa.

If that is the case your Non B visa extension  was automatically canceled when you left Thailand.

I am not certain this is what  happened, but it has happened before to ohers.

I xould be wrong on this, and it wouldn't be the first time,  but is what I expect happened.

The good news is you should be allowed to enter Thailand on a visa free entry with a 30 day stay stamp.

As I said before on another topic, there is no 30 day VOA (Visa on Arrival)/

It is a visa exempt free 30 day entry.

It is not just semantics, the two things are quite different to Thai immigration officials

You have misunderstood. Please go back and read the first post. The visa was issued and cancelled by the Thai embassy.

VOA is the correct entry method if the poster is, say, from India. Many nationalities do not get visa exempt entries.
