Major Phuket water shut-offs to affect Patong

Water supply to heavily populated residential and business areas will be affected by the water shut-offs on Tuesday (Dec 20).

 

PHUKET: -- Patong and heavily populated areas from Kathu across to Baan Borrae on Phuket’s east coast will suffer water shut-offs and reduced supply pressure on Tuesday (Dec 20) while repairs are carried out on major water mains pipes, the Phuket Waterworks Authority (PWA) has announced.

Phuket taxi driver yet to charged after crashing into back of parked 18-wheeler

PHUKET:-- Police have yet to press charges against the driver of a green-plate taxi that smashed into the back of a parked truck yesterday (Dec 14) leaving the driver and his passengers, two Chinese tourists, needing hospital treatment.
