Problem with 3 month Non B extension

Featured Replies

My company hired an agency to help me with WP3 and Non B application and I was able to get a 3-month Non B visa and 1 year work permit valid until 2017. We didn't know we had to pay the agency again to extend the visa to 1 year so when we followed up, they were asking for so much money.,, even asking us to pay for a single entry AND a multiple re entry fees!  So we decided, we'll just renew the visa ourselves. What could be difficult? I have a 1 year work permit already?

But lo and behold, the officer at Chaengwattana questioned our company papers saying company details in my work permit and in the company papers do not match so they said I can just overstay for a week or two  while we correct what's needed to be corrected in the company details (Ours is a new company).

We came back to the immigration the second time and they still looked for more papers. Third visit, same thing.

Fourth visit and the officer said I should just exit and re enter.

It is so confusing. They made me overstay to get all papers done and promised us they will assist in extending the visa once company papers are completed. Now we got everything and they want me to exit and re enter?

Any advice, please?

Many thanks.

Do all that you don't have more days of overstay. It's finally you who has to pay for it and it doesn't look good in your passport.

" They made me overstay" sounds strange. Please Google and you'll find what documents are needed to prevent something similar in the future.

It seems that you'll have to go off to a nearby country ASAP.

If you don't leave you'll pay 500 baht per day in addition to the already overstayed days.

Really hard to believe that they didn't tell you to purchase a visa ( extension of stay) for one week.

You will need to another non-b visa if you leave the country.

You will pay the overstay fine of 500 baht a day up to a max fine of 20k baht.

The problem you may be having it is tax records since it is new company. The requirement state you need at least a year.

See clause 2.1 and the annex of  Police Order 327/2557  basis for extension of stay List of required documents from Bangkok immigration website is in this file  extension based upon working .pdf

Since you having problems with company documents for the extension you might want to consider getting a multiple entry non-b visa in Penang. It appears you have at least 8 months remaining on your work which is one of the requirements to get it.
