PHITSANULOK: -- Police said a 32 year old man shot himself dead after he fled a drugs bust at Naresuan University in downtown Phitsanulok.

Drugs suppression agents had raided student quarters where they found Pranet Junthawong with his girlfriend. He managed to flee the scene to waste ground next to the university, reports Daily News.

Armed with a .32 gun a four hour standoff ensued with the suspect unwilling to give himself up.

Finally he pointed the gun at his head and fired.

Local police found the man shot with his own gun lying in a pool of blood. The gun was still held tightly in his hand when police arrived.

The body was sent for autopsy.

No great loss to society.

curious  why  they  need  autopsy? or  is  it  to  rule  that "he" really  shot  himself  and  no  one  else

Why the curious note that the gun was held tightly in his hand when police arrived?  Apart from the fact that police were already there - it was a stand-off, what difference does it make if the gun was held loosely in his hand, or had dropped by his side?

They include those details now in every news release, to avoid feeding the TV trolls, as the TV cynics would take any opportunity to blame the police from cover up they shot the dealer.

1 more down, how many more millions to go?

32 year old - what was he doing at Naresuan University? Was he teacher? Or a (eternal) student? Or just a drug-dealer?
