From Kuala Lumpur to Chiang Mai for the second visa exemption

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

If I go to Kuala Lumpur before my first 30 visa exemption expires, and stay in Kuala Lumpur for 4-5 days and go to Chiang Mai, can I get my second 30 day visa exemption?

PS: All transportation will be done by air.

Adding PS

yes

You can do  if that is only your 2nd visa exempt but you don't have to leave to get another 30 days. You can apply for a 30 day extension at immigration for a fee of 1900 baht.

Thank you. I have to leave because my flight back home is after 63 days from my first entry so if I extend my stay, I'll be overstaying.

It is possible to get an additional 7 days after the extension for a fee of 1900 baht.

Oh, I thought I couldn't get that 7 days after 30 days extension. Thank you very much for this information!
