PATTAYA: -- At 3am, on the morning of December 21, Pattaya police were called to Walking Street after reports of a robbery.

The victim, thirty-four year old Indian tourist Mr Arvinder Singh Bhatia complained that as he was strolling along the street he was approached and hassled by two ladyboys who began touching and provoking him.

He says he remained calm and laughed the incident off until he later realised his white-gold necklace was missing.

Officers will review CCTV images in an attempt to identify the suspects.

A warning is issued that crime in Pattaya is on the increase again over the holiday period. On the night of December 20 Pattaya police committed 900 officers to patrol the streets and try to prevent crime.

Oh a ladyboy stole my manly necklace!   oh the tragedy...  the drama...

Probably just the usual suspects.

Ladyboys don't have snatches do they ?

Time for me to get an insurance policy and go for a world record in Pattaya, should be about 10 million baht in stolen cash!

That necklace when sold won't give 50,000 ladyboys much money each.

50,000 ladyboys but very few (if any) snatches.

900 officer to patrol the walking street?? The most I saw was not more den 10 officer and most of the time they just sitting at the entrance and mid street with table and chairs.. it more like an information counter

Yes you have to watch out for the Ladyboy Snatch it may be fake.

What Warning, where, when, how?

900 really? I saw 6 to 8 patrolling Walking Street last night, in one herd.

that's a lot of money to pay for one snatch - especially in Pattaya.

Still we can only hope that the operation was successful...

To be honest I have no doubt he was wearing a gold necklace close to the value of 50K Baht, and more than likely not covered by his travel insurance.

Also I have qualms about pointing a finger at the Ladyboys as being a blight on Pattaya.

About time for some multi lingual posters around town:

"Leave it at home if you value it" & "watch out there's a lady boy (or two) about"...

Pattaya One could run a daily news feature...

"Snatch Of The Day"

'Ladyboy snatch' .....hehehehehehehe.

I think the story is mixed up. He most likely short timed the ladyboys and was given a pearl necklace, thats much more likely.

Just another day in Pattaya.

If you have 4 to 6 months' salary around the neck is a stupid

The remaining 892 are actually out stopping tourists on bikes and gouging them for various offenses.

This is not the season for crime prevention, more the season to make as much as possible.

Whatever was he doing with 50,000 ladyboys?

From the heading seems like hey have 50000

What's it with muslims and ladyboys?

I always see groups of 4 or 5 arabs, indians (you name it) standing around 1 ladyboy trying to negotiate some deal.. probably 500 baht for all-in and the 50,000 baht necklace snatch is the payback. Can't blame them.

Always with the ladyboys. I think what Thailand needs is a fresh infusion of about 500,000 bible thumpers to guide us all to the right path.

NEW HEADLINE :

"50,000 post-op ladyboys used their snatches to rob 1 Indian tourist in front of 900 Pattaya police officers on Walking Street" .. Drone footage on YouTube link below :coffee1:
