Is the baht bus 20baht now?

Featured Replies

I'll be in Pattaya in January and I've read reports of the price increase? Is it true? is it in effect?

If so.. i guess i'l be walking a lot more and taking motobike taxis.

I sat in the cab with a baht bus driver the other day and he knew nothing about an increase. That said, the forecast increase is still over a week away.

The current baht bus fare, accepted by almost all drivers for bus rides (not charters) is 10 baht for a normal ride, and 20 ride for a very long ride. Very long ride has never been defined, so sometimes people will be surprised by a demand for 20 baht but almost always that's about the driver thinking it was a long ride.

As far as an increase soon, well, we don't know for sure yet.

Now? Obviously not (yet).
