No mail for weeks - and why

I don't normally receive much mail, but I now haven't received any for several weeks.  The absence of Christmas cards made me think something was amiss.  It appears that the moobaan committee in its wisdom has imposed a new rule requiring all motorcyclists entering the moobaan to remove their helmets.  Thailand Post motorcyclists are forbidden to remove their helmets whilst on their rounds.  Result:  impasse.  There are now crates full of mail destined for the moobaan sitting in the local sorting office.

 

I know TIT, but surely someone could have addressed and resolved the issue a bit sooner.  As it stands, still don't know when I'll get my magazines (by now out of date) and cards.  Perhaps it'll be, as Lou Reed wrote, "Xmas in February".

Seeing you know of the issue, ever thought of taking a stroll & collecting your mail ?
