December 23, 20169 yr Just got a new Umi Super, and I was pleased to see I was now getting 4G in my office, which is on the second floor of my house. Later I went down to the bedroom, on the first floor, to show my wife and was disappointed to see I was now getting 3G. Now, back in my office, I am once again receiving 4G. I am wondering how long until the government allows 4G in the bedroom?

December 23, 20169 yr I thought the bedroom was used for finding the G- spot, not 4g Maybe you are hoping for an orgy looking for 4g Edited December 23, 20169 yr by colinneil

December 23, 20169 yr Your phone may be toggling from 4G to 3G, based on some internal power-saving scheme, when not using data. Or you could be hopping between base stations. Or the phone's radio firmware could be less than ideal. Or the phone's antenna may not have the best design. It does look like it supports B1 (2100) and B3 (1800) so should work in some areas? 3G should be fast enough for most apps.

December 23, 20169 yr Under network settings you can choose auto (strongest signal) or only 4g etc. I have set my phone to olny 4g as it was doing the same switching. The whole 4g in the bedroom is like a dog that chases cars, one day it actually catches a car and doesn't know what to do, lol
December 23, 20169 yr I have set my phone to olny 4g as it was doing the same switching. That's not a great idea; you have to transition down to 3G when you make/receive a voice call (unless both parties have VoLTE). Better to leave it on Auto, or "Preferred" (which could be LTE, but may allow for auto-negotiation with the network). Every phone is a bit different, but transitioning from 4G to 3G on data idle is not all that unusual.
