Sending My girlfriend Cosmetics from the States

Featured Replies

Hey Everybody,

So I am trying to send my girlfriend some cosmetics. Does she really need an import cosmetics license permit in order to receive about $150 worth of makeup, facial cleansers, lotions, masks, lip balms and so on? This is getting way to complicated and I just wanna send her some skin care products! I get the Schedule B 33.04 registration stuff, but I really don't want to force my girlfriend to go and get a license permit to receive some serums and scrubs and face powder. What needs to be done to send my girl some cosmetics toiletries skin care make up stuff?

Hey, is your gf still jealous :-P

Should it not be easier just to stuff everything in your luggage on your way to Thailand? Surely she could wait a bit.

Raha!! Of course she is still jealous man...she's Thai!! And incredibly, rt tx to bkk are literally $420...from now thru at least April...so ya...personally transporting it is the best option... great to hear from you guyfromanotherforum...are you still with the sugarmama wife?

Send by regular mail in small amounts marked under $30 each.

Right. And they are...so does that mean it will slide in under the radar?

Normally not an issue in small, personal use, quantities.

I bought online in Thailand for her, a lot easier, and only authentic stuff for cheaper:

But send ordinary airmail "registered"!

I didn't read through all of the replies, a lot of them tend to be a load of nonsense, my wife has a liking for some facial powder/make-up that you cannot get here in Thailand and I get it sent from Australia a couple of times a year when ever it is on special, absolutely no dramas in the mail what so ever, gets delivered to our front door every time, no issues with import duty or any of that crap.

If a woman thinks she looks better with all that stuff on her face; she may be right--I prefer them just the way they look coming out of the shower-bath.

However, when I was in Vietnam during the American war my mother sold Avon cosmetics in the states. She sent me an entire footlocker full of make-up and literally hundreds of little lipstick samples. You'd be surprised what some ladies of negotiable virtue will do for a sample lipstick.

to clarify that my mother did not sell cosmetics in Vietnam

I am glad the  theguyfromanotherforum likes this.   If you get a moment can you do a translation for us. As to the post I would be careful sending her cosmetics. She might overdo it and fall prey to another hansum man here. No sense helping the competition.

Cosmetics seems to be particularly undesirable to ship here. Best to hand carry...

From where is the fare $420 RT?

Both chicago and LA on china eastern

If she can't wait till next visit, she isn't a good bet anyway. Bring in luggage is best way. Sometimes they are x raying luggage so try to get a late arriving flight.
