Seafood buffet

Any recommendations for a daily half decent seafood buffet?

I don't mean Dusit or Hilton or the likes, but an all you can eat seafood buffet in a regular Thai restaurant at family affordable price.

Not so long ago there were several around, on third road or Sukhumvit opposite Tesco, but they all seem to have been degraded or disappeared in all.

Please let know if you are aware of any currently.

Don't remember its name but on 2nd Road go down Soi 4 as if heading for Jamesons pub. After 200 yards or so instead of turning right for Jamesons turn left. After 100 yards it is on your right under big marquee type structures, part outside, part under cover. 279 Baht all you can eat. Seafood, meat, veggies, salads, fruits, Thai desserts and ice cream. Beer is 100 Baht so watch out. Opens 5.30 pm daily.

100 baht for beer. Highway robbery!

Kidding.

Is this some kind of pick the meat cook it yourself or they cook it or mostly prepared dishes?

Typical Thai cook yourself buffet - hot coal bucket in the middle of the table with a convex cooking cover you fill with water around the edge.

Also have loads of salad/vegetable and fresh fruit and ice cream.

Similar to Ninja on Third road (between Mum Aroi and Nua). There is also a more expensive 399 sea food buffet almost opposite Mum Aroi on 3rd Road which used to include free beer/soft drink but not sure of current status - also cook yourself.

To be fair it is for a big bottle of Leo. The meat; mostly fatty pork and liver; is DIY cooking, but the seafood; mussels, prawn & squid is cooked by someone for you. My Thai gf cooks her food and I have plenty of choice from the buffet. 2 types of chips - french fries and homemade ones which are as good as any I have had in LOS. Ice cream flavours include coconut, mango and pistaccio.

There are lots of these Thai cook-it-yourself BBQ places around and most seem to be pretty similar. I do tend to prefer the ones that charge a couple of hundred Baht more for a better selection. Ninja is good in that respect. But even then I do get a little bored after a while as everything seems to taste the same.

A step up from all these places would be Tsunami of which there are two branches: Chaiyapreuk in Jomtien (on the corner with Sukumvit) and 3rd Road in Pattaya (opposite Xcyte).

Can you give some more info about Tsunami, like price and what you get for it, and why it is considered a step up.

In the past I went a few times to the one opposite Mum Aroi as mentioned by Topt, but the service has gone down.

Before drinks including beer and wine were included in the price, but this is not the case anymore, and the choice of seafood has also decreased.

So I'm looking for something similar.

It's more like a Japanese fish restaurant than a Thai BBQ place. See their Facebook page and numerous reviews on Google. Drinks are not included.
