Football betting gang rounded up in Suphanburi

SUPHANBURI:-- Four people running a football betting operation from a house in Suphanburi were arrested yesterday.

 

Dan Chang district police arrested Karan Kanphakdee, 26, Mongkhon Phongna, 22, Kamphon Jannongwaeng, 22 and Areerat Sathongmai, 29 after they had gained a search warrant for the premises.

 

They took computers, phones and accounts books into evidence.

 

The four suspects were taking bets  and receiving money transfers through the Line application to customers who they had recruited on Facebook, said police.

 

The raid was a joint operation of Dan Chang police and the crime suppression division.
