Transport Minister inspects service point during New Year festival in Suphanburi

SUPHANBURI, 2 January 2016 (NNT) – The Minister of Transport inspected a service point in Suphanburi province during the New Year festival. 

Transport Minister Arkhom Termphitthayaphaisith has observed officials on duty in Suphanburi province, servicing the general public traveling home during the New Year holidays. 

The transport minister said he was satisfied with the officials' performances in the province during 29 December 2016 to 1 January 2017. 

He said traffic on the highways were congested at times, but remains manageable with the service from checkpoints along the roads, and affirms that the number of buses and trains in service were adequate to accommodate all passengers. 

Relevant authorities will prepare to accommodate the public traveling back to Bangkok during 2-3 January 2017.
