Planning a Trip to New Zealand

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I got married recently and would like to go on a getaway trip with my wife to NZ.

Is there a trusted & economical travel agency in Bangkok who can arrange our visas, and help us in arranging tours in/around Auckland and/or other destinations in NZ?

Thanks!

Congratulations! Sorry can't help with a travel agent but regarding NZ visitors visas, I doubt that a travel agent would be able to make it any easier than applying by yourself.

Thai citizens require a visa for NZ but many other nationalities don't. Here is a list of those:

https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/apply-for-a-visa/tools-and-information/general-information/visa-waiver-countries

NZ visa applications for a Thai (in Thailand) are outsourced to this organisation:

You can also apply directly to Immigration NZ at the following link. You upload all supporting documents electronically and pay with a credit card. Link here:

Thai Airways operates the only non-stop service between Bangkok and Auckland (4 days/week). Otherwise there are many options with one stop via Australia, Singapore, HK, Malaysia etc.

For planning an itinerary this is probably a good place to start:

I suggest you start a separate thread about (only) the visa situation in this subforum:

Don't forget to mention that you are married.

I don't know about NZ but for most countries visa for married partner is much easier/different from normal tourist visa.

OK, so did a wrong assumption.

And you are not a NZ citizen?

Would help to know both your nationalities for the visa questions.
And better in a separate thread as mentioned.
