February 8, 20179 yr Author All sorted! Wife was granted a Nationales Visa to move to Germany. Process for the Nationales Visa took just one day and not the 3 months that I thought it would do. Apparently because I am a UK citizen. German embassy in Bangkok were very responsive and helpful. Wife will arrive in Germany next week and then we will apply for residency at the KVR.
February 9, 20179 yr They are still wrong but it doesn't matter if a visa typ-d take only one day. Btw. did you refer to the Verwaltungsvorschrift?
February 11, 20179 yr Author Yes, I sent them the info that you passed on to me and followed up with a call. They came back to me saying that they would process the Nationales Visa quickly and they kept their word.
