That may be seen as a potential weapon, particularly if it is rock shaped (rather than a core), I would put it in checked if at all possible.

 

With the idiots (not just Thai) that provide airport security (lowest bidder) I wouldn't leave anything to chance.

I've been prevented from taking a one-piece flute on as hand luggage because it is about 450 long and weights maybe 500g. They said it was a potential weapon.  A lump of granite will almost be classified the same way.  Put it in your hold luggage and avoid the hassle.  ;)
