What are the current periods of short term extensions of stay available to Visas types.

Tourist Visas (and Visa exempt) - 30 days.

Non Imm O SE Visa - Non available.

Non Imm O ME Visa - 60 days.

Non Imm O-A Visa - ?

Any others.

I read something that confused me, but can't find it again, so just seeking a confirmation.

Visa are not extended.

It is 30 days for a tourist visa or visa exempt entry unless the entry is from a bilateral agreement which in that case none is possible.

No non immigrant visa entry can be extended for 30 days.

A 60 day extension is possible if married to Thai or are the parent of a Thai for any type of entry.

Sorry Joe, it was worded badly. I know a Visa cannot be extended.

It should have read extending your permission to stay.

So you cannot extend the permission to stay on a Non Imm SE Visa or a Non Imm O-A Visa.

I maybe read different on a commercial website, but it's been niggling me ever since.

If you have a non imm o-a multi entry visa and leave Thailand and return prior to the enter before date, you will receive an additional year on that visa.

The only exception for get a short extension (less than 90 days) of any non immigrant visa is for medical treatment and one or two other special cases.

Just look through the clauses of  Police Order 327/2557  basis for extension of stay.
