PM urges state enterprise reforms to be expedited

BANGKOK, 9 January 2017 (NNT) - Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has stressed the need for the State Enterprise Policy Office to cooperate with the government in order to successfully implement state enterprise reforms.

The Prime Minister presided over a committee meeting of the State Enterprise Policy Office along with deputy ministers and representatives from relevant agencies.

Gen Prayut said at the beginning of the meeting that he would give the committee three months to resolve issues that are obstructing the reform process.

The premier added that the committee should appoint a reform team to oversee their efforts. He emphasized the importance of cooperation from all sectors to help expedite the state enterprise reform process.

Me and my wife went to the head Thai Airways office for some help about their frequent flyer program.  My wife is an TV producer and actress, so we looked like generally upstanding citizens (not that it should matter).  The 2 women that were working in the office were rude and dismissive of us.  They didn't even want to work, and there was only 1 other customer in frront of us.  Thai Airways flights are 3-4 times the price of the cheapest fares.  Shut all down, the taxes can be used for real issues

Want to implement state enterprise reforms? Sell off state-owned enterprises.

Funny Mr. Xi is going down this exact same road at present. His pollution police are out in full force. They finally got to see blue skies in Beijing for the first time in over a week. I guess everyone in China praised their leader of the Communist "Peoples" Party for this wonderous accomplishment. It seems that by 2030 they will hit the pollution break even point. Wonder who the last man standing will be by then. A politician no doubt.
