Why not digital tachograph as we have in Europe since so many years ?

Yes, if every driver had to have their own card it could be used to control their hours which no doubt is one of the major factors in the so many crashes of Vans, Busses and large vehicles.

Of coarse they need to control the issue of cards so that drivers can not get their grubby hands on a second card... :whistling:

It is an improvement even if baby steps, it is motion forwards.

What is the problem on the data presented? Want some spectacularly revolutionary or just something to whinge about? Has to be one or the other/

I worry more about the boredom some of you blokes endure.

High tech for van drivers, most can't even stay awake although they are experts at circumventing anything and everything interfering with their out of control driving style.

The solution is to apply and enforce existing laws - forget the band-aid solutions and pie in the sky fixes dreamed up by experts who wouldn't even know what a tachograph is.

And likewise I wonder about the lack of knowledge displayed by many posters who believe they are experts in all things - so please explain why it's a step forward when the circumvention of a tachograph output is no longer an art form.

None of this tech stuff means anything, we all know it's the fundamentals that need addressing.

Driver education law enforcement etc.

Ah, the good old "Let's change something that makes no difference" strategy, brilliant.

Can't wait for the doctors to tell us to put an apple on the nightstands to watch over our health while we sleep.

Set the max RPM to about 1,500 on these vans.
