Film and tv crewing

Featured Replies

Hiya's.

I'm in a bit of a pickle at the moment. I want to return to thailand to try and find a job. I've looked through the list of "can't do jobs" and film and TV crews is not one of them. Infact I've already had interest for a TV cameraman operator, but I was still in Australia and could not go for a interview etc.

I have spoken to a Thai guy about getting work in the industry, and he gave me a few pointers about how to look for work in LOS.

But getting to thailand in the first place is where it gets hard. I basicly need a letter of employment for a non-immagrent visa before I head over, because it's not finacialy possible for me to fly to Bkk, find a job, fly back to AUS to get the visa, then fly back to Bkk.

So my questain is, does anyone know of any farangs ( or Thai's ) crewing for film and tv? I need some advice/help as to places to look for work so I can come back to LOS.

Before you suggest it, I have kinda started a TESOL course, but it's not me, and I don't think I would be very good at all.

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks !!

BTW I am 23yrs old, I have a certificate IV in film & TV, about 10 short films/programs to my name, and some films have won awards.
