Cindaur
Hi Could someone please tell me if you have a Retirement Visa how many months are you allowed to be out of Thailand every year?
Upnotover
Extension of stay? No limit, just be back in time to renew it (if you want to).
allane
There is no requirement that you spend any minimum amount of time in Thailand. But you need to ensure that you are in the country to position your money for the "seasoning" period, if applicable, and you need to be here on the renewal date. (Some offices may allow you to renew 30 -45 days in advance, but clarify that if you are going to be relying on it.) You can not renew if you are out of Thailand on the renewal date, and have not renewed before you left.
ubonjoe
If you had a visa you would just need do an entry on or before the enter before date on it. If on an extension of stay there is not limit on being out of the country other the date your extension ends which is the same as the date your re-entry permit expires. OJAS
If by "Retirement Visa" you mean a non-OA visa, the answer to your question is "Up to 12 initially without a re-entry permit and up to a further 12 subsequently with a re-entry permit". Cindaur
Thanks for your help. What about reporting to Immigration every 90 days- is this still required? If you have a Spousal Visa(O type) are you still allowed to spend time out of the country like in the case of a Retirement Visa?

You only have to do a report of staying longer in the country for more than 90 consecutive days in the country if your are here that long. If you had a non-o multiple entry visa you would have to leave the country every 90 days. If on a one year extension of stay based upon marriage it would be the same as a retirement extension.
