January 14, 20179 yr In 2007 I had a house built on a bit of ex paddy off an unnamed road on the edge of a small village 7km from Phimai, Korat. At that time, and for a few years after, Google Earth showed a low definition image of said paddy. Then the image was updated, and I could make out the roof of my house; still low def. A few more years later I checked again, and noticed straight away the definition was much higher. I zoomed in and in, and the image popped into a street view; in high def !! I'm surprised this has happened, this is a nowhere and nothing village and road. I guess this must mean someone was paid to actually drive round this village, past my house, and video the roads and houses. Google; here, there and every where it would seem.
January 14, 20179 yr Explore Thailand with google maps/earth ... it's saving me a lot of diesel ... I don't like google BUT putting the world on a free interactive computer map , with satelite view AND streetview is AWESOME ! I wonder how many TB of data they have gathered.
