He/She turned up at our gate this morning its around 14 inches long.

 

At the moment it is in the garden, much to the amusement to the dogs.

 

Most of the land around is now cultivated, or if wild grass set on fire.

 

Any ideas of what to do to give it a safe life would be welcomed.

Thanks, it was a she, took it for a ride way out to a huge hill with a forest for miles.

 

Never seen a tortoise move so fast.
