Somkid orders close watch on prices of consumer goods in flood-stricken areas

 

 

BANGKOK: -- Commerce officials in flood-stricken provinces were yesterday ordered to keep close watch on prices of consumer goods to prevent profiteering particularly after the oil price increase today.

 

The order was given by deputy prime minister in charge of economic affairs  Dr Somkid Jatusripitak after flood situation improved.

 

He also instructed commerce officials in the flood-stricken areas to report him on prices of consumer goods on  daily basis to prevent exploitation of the situation.

 

In case of detection of profiteers, legal action must be dealt with them drastically. Besides they could also face stringent examination of their cost structure.

Then their subsidy increases, that is how the Blue Flag scheme works, they are watching them to prevent them profiteering under the scheme, good.

Somkid is too silky smooth for me. A typical smarmy bureaucrat. Just another insincere Thai military officer promoted way beyond his capabilities. If Thailand has the likes of these people running the country then it is doomed.

Thailand will never repair itself. Prayut was a act. A part of a well planned take over to earn and retreat to retirement.  The mere sight of these people is sickening
