Roundabout working at Bali Hai

PATTAYA:--The imposition of a traffic roundabout at Bali Hai Pier appears to be paying off, with congestion noticeably lessened.

 

Large buses picking up tourists and public buses now go left in a circle before stopping on the right side near the old harbor. Originally, the pickup point was in front of pier entrance, resulting in traffic jams.

 

The change was made because, even though speedboats were removed from pier-area streets, cross-traffic and many public-transport vehicles servicing the pier still created problems.
