Any pics?

Just go to HomePro on the Udon Thani ring road most any Saturday or Sunday afternoon and watch the rich Lao loading up their blinged-out Yukons, Prado's, Raptors, Panamera's and Hummers with everything including the kitchen sink.

no wonder 100 cops showed up at the airport to arrest this guy...

Couldn't they have done this ages ago.

Yeah,  I seen a  Cadillac Escalade in Vientiane , it was the US ambassadors. I also seen a Caddy EXT 4x4 in Cambodia , once again it was from the US embassy. No drug dealers Though.

Not now.

So if he would have just stayed in Laos and wouldn't have make holidays in Thailand to where he sold his drugs he would have been fine?

I do like the fact he was arrested after he had finished spending his ill earned gains during his holiday.

You can go to any high end car tuner in bangkok that specialises in Porsche, Lamborghini etc and you will find Ferraris from Burma, Vietnam, Laos that have been brought over to be modified.

New tires, exhausts, wrap and so on. The cars are almost as common there as in Bangkok now.

If you look through some of the pictures, you clearly see he isn't the only person with a luxury car. Plenty of his friends had them too.

Do drug dealers at the top have friends?

I thought they had hanger ons, colleagues and competitors.

Often the same people are a mix of all three.

Clarification please?

"Thai authorizes compared his influence in the drug trade as on a par with the biggest drug lords in the region."

1. Is hs arrest something the "biggest drug lords in the region" contributed to?

2. So Thai Authorities (and their international colleagues) have identified, and will be taking action against the "biggest drug lords in the region, WHEN?

"Yesterday the seizure of his assets began with 74 items worth 100 million baht taken in by drugs suppression police. These included 14 luxury cars, houses, land title deeds, motorcycles and bank books."

3. Where were these assets located in Thailand or in Laos?

A Lamborgini in  Laos? I don't get it. Do they have roads up there?

Lol.... if you can afford a Lamborghini, you can afford to make your own road / speed track to drive it on, but then, in seizing 14 luxury cars etc etc, and only coming up with 100 M baht.... they must have been clapped out cars, as I think I just saw a new lambo for 36 M baht.

That's about right.

4 years ago I saw a Pagani Zonda in Vientianne. Much rarer than a Lamborghini, but I asked myself the same question.

He fell because he is not Thai

Please elaborated. What would happen if he were a Thai?

With that kind of money couldn't he negotiate? I thought all Thais would negotiate amicably in situation like this.

I would be tempted to replace those notes with fake ones. No one would complain I guess. Including those LV bags on the airport trolley picture. Those got to be genuine bought in Paris or London.

Anyone know what happen to the Shan State (golden triangle) after Khun Sha died? Who took over from him. Khun Sha was the most well know drug lord of all time I guess.

The number plate is quite ironic.

Khun sa retired to Yangoon and was never extradited to the US.... here's some information.... it might answer your question.... the quick answer is that the various military factions running roughshod over the Shan state, were given the autonomy by Myanmar, to do so ( Shan state is a state of Myanmar), and are still in business

Please note there is no such word as "Laotian". The correct word is simply "Laos" as in "Lao people on line..."

Thanks for that. I'll make sure i use it in future

There you go, all of a sudden they're throwing them to every Somchai just for peanuts. A disgrace!

What a perfect ride for Northern Thailands roads though - or Laos for that matter - especially in the 21"-rim off-road configuration as pictured below.

Now, with that bargain roads will be flooded with Lambos, it's embarrassing, i've going to ditch the three of mine. What ride would you advise instead to, you know, stand out a bit, big face and whatnot ...?

Well observed, so sorry friend!
'Troll' is a bit harsh tough, call it ironic, or sarcastic.

Damn, how'd you find out? The 'three of mine' gave it away, didn't it? Should have made that five.
