The Royal Thai Police Office does not have any conflict with the Justice Ministry over the handling of Mrs Jomsap Saenmuangkote’s appeal for a retrial of her fatal hit-and-run case as both have been coordinating with each other all along, police inspector-general Pol Gen Panya Mamen said on Friday.

Pol Gen Panya’s remark came after justice deputy permanent secretary Pol Col Dusadee Arayawuth visited the inspector-general, Pol Gen Detnarong Suthicharnbancha, the police deputy commissioner-general and a few senior police officers to exchange views on the case of the former schoolteacher.

Pol Gen Panya explained that the police’s duty was to compile as much evidence as possible and had exchanged information with other relevant agencies to make sure that their information was relevant.
