Video: Thai man rescued after getting head trapped in the wheel arch of taxi

Warning graphic images: This footage really needs to be seen to be believed.

A man had to rescued after becoming trapped in the wheel arch of a taxi following a collision in Ayutthaya.

The man reportedly collided with the taxi while trying to perform a u-turn.

The aftermath of the incident, which was captured on video, shows the man pinned over the front of his motorbike with his head inside the wheel arch of the taxi.

Blood can be seen on the floor.

The condition of the man, who was rushed to Phra Na Khon Sri Ayutthaya Hospital, remains unknown.

Hopeless camera work. D'you think the taxi driver will hit him up for getting a free ride?

He probably had the meter running.

Just hold the revs at 5k, drop the clutch, sorted.

Might have tried jacking up the rear of the car. Suspension would drop allowing remains of head to be removed.Sorted.

With a tyre as an airbag he didn't need one, furthermore he even appears to be offering a parking space for the bike behind him :)

Joking apart I wish this rider a full recovery.

"....maybe he will wear a helmet now."

Why? motorbike riders over here very seldom learn by their past experiences,

What the hell was trying to do ?.........he had no right hitting the taxi with his head, how inconsiderate are these Thais. On the bright side of all this.... there was no damage to taxi

I think Charles Darwin's name is getting a little over used these days. Darwin Awards are "given" when people select themselves from the gene pool by death or sterilization by their own stupid actions. In this case, it was a freak accident that probably gave the guy a serious headache and sore ears and possibly a "loss of some face". Not a DA candidate though.
