Chewing Tobacco , Snus - Customs

Featured Replies

Hello ,

I'm looking to travel to thailand in 2 weeks , Is smokeless tobaccos like Chewing Tobacco , Snus allowed by customs ?

The customs website says tobacco is allowed but didnt mention the types of tobacco ,  Wanted to make sure and dont want to get it to trouble

Also do they sell snus / chewing tobacco in their country , i could buy if im not allowed to carry

Any help much appreciated

Thanks

Jake

I've imported loads of it over the years, I believe that it's legal (never had anything seized unlike with eliquid) but there is a limit - 200g I think.

That said, I strongly recommend you check out https://www.siamsnus.com/ - made in Thailand and in my opinion great stuff, a portion keeps its flavour for half a day.

I will be staying in thailand for couple of days , so buying from this website dont work ,  Do they sell these on local shops ?

So i can take 100gm snus / chewing tobacco without any problem through airport customs right .

I moved the thread to the general "Thailand Travel forum" which has a bit more readers/posters.

You can bring upto ~200 g (I think, google and check yourself). Beyond that, you can find places that sell "snuss," But you will not find US Tobacco products such as Copenhagen or Skoal. At least, I have never been able to find those products!
