3 Month Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am asking for a girlfriend. She get in Germany a 3 Month ,90 Days ,Tourist Visa. So she dont have the normal 60 Day Torist Visa and extend it then for 30Days. She has 90Days without an extension. Today she want to extend her Visa for another 30 Days, but the Officer said that it is not possible to extend a 90 Day Tourist Visa and that she can only get 7 Days , she has to leave the country and then can come back to get 30 Days without a Visa. I think he was takling about a border run.

My question is: Is it still possible to make a border run or is that not allowed anymore?  The Officee said that she can do it in Laos or Ranong. Does anyone know is it still possible? She is over 60years old and I dont want to recommend her to go over the border and then she is sitting there and can not come back.

Thank you very much for your answers!

It seems she had a single entry non-o visa not a tourist visa. There is no 30 day extension for a 90 day non immigrant visa entry.

Unless she has had several visa exempt entries she can do a border hop for a 30 day entry that can be extended for 30 days.

Thank you very much ubonjoe.

Ok, I did not look at her visa but I was wondering why she was talking about a 3 Month Tourist Visa.

So you maybe right that she has a single entry non-o Visa not a tourist visa. Thats the reason. Thank you.

No ,she has not one visa exempts in her passport, but I will look at it before I will send her over the border. Her flight is going back in 25 Days from Bangkok back to Germany, so she want not to cancel her Flight and leave the country before of that.

Thank you!.
