Can I change tourist visa into non-immigrant, in Bkk?

Featured Replies

Helllo,

I'm Gabriel, 36, from Romania. In august I'll come to Thailand with tourist visa. I want to stay as long it's possible.

My questions is: Can I change my tourist visa, into non-immigrant visa, while I am in Bkk?  If yes, what conditions are necessary?

Or, if my thai friends help me to find a job, can a switch my visa, with work permit and visa? (no english teacher job).

Thank, Gabriel

It is possible to change a tourist visa entry to a non immigrant visa if you qualify for certain types of extensions of stay. Since you mentioned working here are the requirements  to get one based upon working for a company. change visa to non-b docs.pdf

I gave you the requirements for the one based upon working.

You can do it for teaching, retirement, marriage to a Thai and etc. You must qualify for some type of one year extension of stay.
