CHONBURI — Police said Wednesday they have yet to determine a motive or perpetrator behind the slaying of a British expat near the resort town of Pattaya.

Tony Kenway, 39, was shot dead at point blank range in broad daylight as he sat in his car in the Bang Lamung district on Tuesday. Police described Kenway as a British national who lived in the Jomtien neighborhood and made a living in Thailand as a website designer.

“We have no information [about the motive] so far,” Jirawut Tanthasri, chief of Nong Prue police, told reporters. “We are collecting information. We are questioning his wife and his team.”

Both his facebook and his wives are still up , the police should try to go through all the history there first .

I think it will be hard to catch the killer , a local hitman or a foreigner?

Now I see that his company wasn't just creating websites - it dealt extensively in VOIP, IP PBXs and SIP solutions, which is exactly the type of telecoms/IP infrastructure that boiler rooms use to 'call' their 'victims overseas.

Just saying...

What do they say when they call their "victims" overseas? Send me money? And then sometimes the victim blames the boiler room and hires a hit man to kill said operator? I thought most with money were beyond these sort of scams.

Not one of the boiler room victims.

A "business associate".

RIP.

One second you are alive getting in your Porsche and the next second you are dead.

Horrible.

According to other news sources, he has met the people we can't talk about and drives a Porsche?

And he is assassinated at point blank range in a very calm and professional hit?

" Kenway's wife Somporn told police her husband had set up a company doing website design at Jomtien Beach."

"Somporn told reporters Tuesday that he had no history of conflict with anyone, thought she mentioned he had a “business dispute” with a former company partner."

the plot thickens...
