January 26, 20179 yr I needed a Medical Certificate for my retirement extension. A few days ago I went to a private hospital in Bangkok to ask the cost. The cost was 260 baht. and I told them that I will be back in a few days. I went back to the do it today. I was surprised with 350 baht bill by the cashier. I asked her why !!! She replied that in Thai language the cost is 260 , but in English it is 350. I told them that I was not a Thai when I asked the cost (260 baht) and I even mentioned that I need it for retirement visa. I just wanted to let you know about one more game by hospitals. January 26, 20179 yr You need a medical certificate for retirement extensions in Thailand? That's news. Or are you getting that to use for an O-A visa from your home country?
January 26, 20179 yr You don't need a medical certificate to a apply for a extension. Bangkok immigration is not one of therogue offices that ask for it. I think there may be only 3 in offices that ask for it.
January 26, 20179 yr Author I guess I just got confused by some other posts. I did not know that I will not need one in Bangkok. well, I guess I just paid 350 Baht to learn more about hospitals.

Get a little entertainment for your money.
January 26, 20179 yr Quote I told them that I was not a Thai The price difference is about whether your certificate is written in English or Thai.
January 26, 20179 yr Who ever told you that was needed in Thailand? It is not and never was needed in Bangkok at CW. The only medical document needed for a Q-A "retirement" visa I know of is for applying for that visa in the U.S. at a Thai embassy/consulate in the U.S.
