Same reason as Russians except you can see from the chart I posted that they have more money to spend now than they've ever had before. It's not just Thailand they are relocating to.

Meanwhile Thailands currency is such that only elites benefit from their currency strength since there's way more of a wealth imbalance. Probably by design

Thailand is one of the few regional destinations Israelis can visit without being murdered. Have you looked at a map? Israel is surrounded by hostile muslim nations. That is an interesting perspective which I have no clue about. Would need some definitive proof. Russians in the meanwhile have strategically annexed phuket. I think for the strategic advantage of having the Andaman sea. I wouldn't swim in there because of the poop that washes up from indias shores.
