ATHENS: -- Turkey said Greece was protecting plotters and failing in the fight against terrorism on Thursday after the Supreme Court in Athens ruled against extraditing eight Turkish soldiers wanted over last July’s attempted coup.

Ankara has now issued arrest warrants for the men who flew a military helicopter to Greece a day after the coup attempt, seeking political asylum and saying they feared for their lives.

They deny any involvement in trying to oust President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has since led a purge of the military and civil service.

Ha, that's truly rich coming from a country  a man who - for the duration of almost 2 years - just as well 'failed to do anything against terrorism' in the first place.

Maybe because his sons alleged involvement in petrol-'smuggling' over the Syrian border which earned DAESH  (a.k.a. ISIS) somewhere around a million USD per funkin' day ...

Up yours, Erdogan & well dunn Greece!

And the Greeks really dislike Turks,( hate is a better word) good decision

from the court, there lives given back.......lol

Erdogan would like to take Turkey back into the arms of the Islamists after years of secularism brought in by the moderniser Ataturk in the 1920s.

There are many who think he engineered the attempted coup so as to strengthen his power base and rid himself of opposition.

Greece is right to refuse to send those men back to face a rigged trial and almost certain death if Erdogan gets his way and reintroduces the death penalty.

Yessir, wouldn't be surprised for a split-second ...
