Two Cambodians killed in Thai farm shooting

Featured Replies

Two Cambodians were killed and one was seriously injured after a shooting spree by a man at a rubber plantation in Thailand’s Suphan Buri province on Tuesday evening. According to a National Police report, one man survived the attack and explained the situation to police.

The unnamed survivor said he went to the house of the suspect, a 26-year-old Thai national known only as Baeng, to tell him that the father of one of the victims did not buy the wood he had planned to sell to Baeng. He told Baeng that the man and his father were at a local plantation.

But soon after that, the survivor said he saw Baeng riding a motorbike towards him and three other Cambodians who were walking to a nearby rubber plantation. He opened fire on the group, killing two of them, and was quickly arrested by police, according to the report. Thai police said the suspect was a “serious” alcoholic.
