hi guys

i've an italian passport
i've entered thailand (tourist purposes) on a 30dd stamp, which expires the 10th february.

the 10th feb i intend to go to KOTA BAHRU, malaysia, and apply for a 2 months tourist visa. because of weekend and holidays i'll probably apply monday the 13th feb.
i understand that it usually takes 2 days, so the 14th or 15th i should be able to return to thailand.

questions:
what documents/requirements to get tourist visa in KOTA BAHRU?
i understand the visa is free, confirmed?
seeing the recent rules change, do i have to expect problems at consulate or immigration border? (i was last in thailand in july 2016)

any other valuable advice is welcome.

Have fun, Kota Bahru is a strict Islamic province.

 

Go to Penang instead, apply before lunch receive next day after lunch, use an agent and save money on Taxi to the consulate.

In Penang you can enjoy some real good food and BEER.
