Border Crossing Operations

Featured Replies

I need to do a border run on or about Christmas day...my passport stamp says until 26 December for my multi - entry non - imm 'O'. All operations per normal at Aranyapatet during this time or should I go earlier? Also, any tips or advice...it's been over three years since my last trip.

cheers...tutsi

Thailand and most of the surrounding countries are not "Christian" therefore they do not celebrate the Christmas holidays so the border crossings should be open 'as usual' as it will be just a normal working day here in SEA.

Over Christmas it will be "Business as usual" at all Bordercrossings.

PoiPet/Aran should be busy as many companies pay the annual bonus to their staff.

Plenty of money for burning in the casino.

Watch yourself over there Tutsi. Don't go MIA on us. HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE :o

Thailand is not Christian??? Do you mean to say that I am living in a heathen country??? Maybe I'll forgoe the border run alltogether and stay under the covers until Santa comes with my presents. When I am imprisoned for overstay I shall rattle my tin cup against the prison bars and scream 'You can't do this to me yew screws...Santa and Rudolph won't have it!!!'

(Cut to tutsi on the run in cambo...braying hounds in the background and slavering heinous foemen...)

Just to be a bit picky, but what have Santa and Rudolph got to do with being, or for that matter, not being, Christian? . . . . . :o

One important point though is that Christmas Day IS a public holiday in Malaysia, so, in all probability Consulates and Embassies could be closed. Shouldn't affect border crossings at all I think.
