I'm currently living in Chiang Mai and at some point in the not-too-distant future I'm going to need to sell my scooter. Problem is: I have the green book but it's not in my name because I couldn't get the residence certificate, it's in the name of the guy who sold it to me, who no longer lives in Thailand, and isn't coming back. Need to know how/where to sell it. Either by somehow getting the greenbook updated or any other way! Help would be greatly appreciated :)

Selling it super cheap is really the only option.

Various online free advertising options exist.

ThaiVisa, for example.

If you can contact the previous owner and get him to send you a copy of his passport photo page and Thai immigration exit stamp + a signed "power of attorney" form
then it may be possible to have the green book updated to either you or new owners name...if not you'll have to sell it cheap.
