I can tell you one thing though. If you have the mentality and the attitude of the kind like expressing that Thai girls are the funniest and nicest you ever seen, then things are not going to work out fine for you in Thailand. Off course that depends on where you meet the people you are talking about, but mostly a person that are expressing a level of knowledge like you are doing meet the Thai girls on a dating site or in the different bars. That means the girls in thoose places mostly just do their work for making a healthy salury, or that someone wants a reletionship based on a health bank account.

Just a truthful extra comment to take with you on your downhill road in life:

You don´t care about what they did before. Mean that as soon as you see a thai girl working in the bar you automatically think that she do not want to work there. Many of them actually do this long time, or many of the ones that starts a life live that life as they were still working for the one they live with. Just like for the bar owner.

 

A good advice would be to travel back and forth a couple of times, just to have fun. After that evaluate what you learned. Maybe like 20 times in your case, because you seem like a hard nut to crack.

Been coming here since 1971.  Had a 8 year marriage to a Thai women.  No I'm not hard.  Actually "soft hearted"  Don't tell anyone.  No offense you sound pretty "clueless"  I mean we're all "lost" to different varying degrees.  Again no offense you sound like an "accident waiting to happen."  Listen to some of the advice you got here.  Even in the sarcasm, it's mostly correct.
