Meaning of Suksamran

Featured Replies

I am just wondering if the word Suksamran has got any meaning. I have noticed it as names of hotels and villages. Just curious. Anybody knows something?

Happiness, joy,  fun

สุข suk- means happy  and สำราญ means having a good time so as befitting for a place of  recreation I  guess it means  enjoyment and pleasure, fun.

There is even a district(amphoe) named Suk Samran

(a tiny one)

It's in Ranong province in the south, west of Phangna and north of Phuket. I think we should contact Thai Visa members in the district to determine how much fun it is to live there.

Actually have seen the sign from the bus once. Not much going on there I suppose ;)

There's also a government website:

Don't understand what the website is all about but I'm sure it's fun :)

Thanks again !!

For what it's worth,I live in the village (muban) Ban Khao Din Daeng, in the sub-district (tambon)  Suksumran in the district (amphoe) of Takfa in Nakhon Sawan Province
