February 5, 20179 yr Barely a week goes by without a multitude of traffic accidents incidents in Thailand. Yet things could change dramatically with the new technology of driverless vehicles / auto piloted . Now only available with new motors but I hear the software can be fitted for some unequipped cars for around $3000 ( retrofit on Tesla ) . Could this be the answer to negate the carnage on Thailand's roads in the future if the systems could be applied to all vehicles including commercial transport ? For sure there will always be accidents and problems with the involvement of motorcycles and rider behavior but this could be made a specific target for reform having resolved most of the safety issues associated with cars , trucks etc . Do you think that this could happen in Thailand ?
February 5, 20179 yr If all vehicles were automatically driven I think it would work, but put people in the mix and carnage.A self driving car could talk with all other vehicles within miles and they would all no what each other were doing.
