travel insurance for thai holidaying in thai

hi guys, quick question,my thai wife is a perminent resident in australia,does she need travel insurance to return to thai for holidays?

There is no requirement for travel insurance here for anybody.

yes, but would she be covered still as a thai citizen residing from another country for medical costs?

She still has all the rights and privileges as a Thai. It does not matter if she has residency in another country.

She would just need to show her ID card and perhaps house book.

thanks,i usually get the insurance every year but thought i might just be wasted money..
