Your children could get dependent extensions at immigration after you get yours. Your partner and their children would not be able get them since you are not married.

Thanks ubonjoe that was my worry. Could her kid get a education visa?

They could get a single entry non-ed visa and apply for a extension of stay. Once the child is on the one year extension she could an extension based upon being their parent by showing 500k baht is a Thai bank for 30 days for the first extension.

Hi ubonjoe would it be possible for me to get the 12 year old a student visa and have the mum here in a guardian visa?

A guardian visa does not exist. What I wrote about is what you are thinking of.

The non-ed visa is a for attending school. And then a one rear extension of stay based upon attending school for the child. The mother would get a single entry non-o visa and then an extension as the child's parent if she has the 500k baht in the bank for 30 days.
