BANGKOK: -- The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) will submit report to a panel of the National Human Rights Commission about the reasons why it has refused to accept the case of the disappearance of Karen human rights activist Pollajee “Billie” Rakchongcharoen.

The panel chair Mrs Angkhana Nillapaichit on Wednesday invited Billie’s common law wife, Ms Pinnapa Prueksapan, and a representative of the DSI, for a meeting to discuss Ms Pinnapa’s complaint to the NHRC that the DSI had rejected her call for a probe into her husband’s disappearance.

DSI representative was reported to have told the panel that the DSI had actually investigated the case for some time and could not wrap up the case. Also, the DSI felt that Ms Pinnapa was not the legal wife of the victim.

Mrs Angkhana said she felt the DSI could have wrapped up the case and resolved the case had they done their job fully.

DSI only accepts cases they can win. They're to incompetent for the real issues in Thailand. Evil monks still running free mocking the Thai laws, what a joke!!
