bkkgooner
Going through a flare up of my colitis at as usual the worst possible time and need to take a trip to the pharmacy. As people who suffer from this condition know Salofalk is really quite an expensive medication for a condition that is chronic. I saw mention of a generic version called Mesacol on a topic from a few years ago and was wondering does anyone know how the two formulations work differently? If you are taking Mesacol has it had the same effect for you as Salofalk? Thanks
Sheryl
They are the same drug, no difference. Just different brands. Both are mesalazine.
bkkgooner
Thanks for the reply Sheryl, the forum as always is very lucky to have you here for advice. Do you think it is a common drug in Thailand or will I need to make a trip up to Victory Moument to find it?
Sheryl
It is very hard to find here as the disease is rare among Thais. I'm not sufre you will find it around Victory Monument. Last TV member I recall who went through this bought it from the distriubutor (which also is cheaper) see this thread
