Many young Thai women come from extreme poverty and dysfunctional families.  Many have been ignored their entire lives and the abuse has damaged their child core inside them. Many lady boys are the way they are from said abuse. They have no soul and feel nothing except getting paid. 

 

Many sex workers have an addiction to sex and find their supply in the bars and through single ads. That is their playground. Many are alcoholics. Some on drugs.

 

If you love a pretty women and she makes you sick from what she says and the manipulations, and you feel you are pushed into a cul-de-sac; it's probably from a damage child core and this can be a narcissistic mental disorder.

 

The Covert Narcissist is the worst disorder and everyone should research that mental illness as they can become very dangerous and a nightmare to be involved with.  Some  victims even commit suicide from being manipulated and discarded from this disorder.  Some Narcissists even kill when they are discarded from more abandonment. If you feel you are currently involved with this disorder you should research psychological terms like gaslighting and flying monkeys. No joke.  These various manipulations can make you very sick and suicidal. 

 

I've lived in Bangkok for 11 years. I lived with a Thai ex dancer for 6 years. So I had my private dancer and heard all the stories. Many of the sex workers in the Nana area are my long time friends and over the years they have admitted their cheating, addictions and disorders to me. Many are guilt ridden by leaving their children in the village with their parents while they work in Bangkok for years.

 

 I don't expect the newbies and tourists coming here to understand any of this.

With the worldwide economic financial retreat and many millions of job loses, women and men worldwide fall back on the world's oldest profession. Children are even affected by being left in day care centers while parents work long hours at several jobs.

 

The best advice I can give regarding Thai women is be generous, hold them, listen to them, surprise them with gifts, and never ask questions as to where they are going. Even if you live with them. Go with the flow and enjoy them.  If you get angry, and try to control them you will be left in the dust. That may apply to most women worldwide today.

Well, when I lived in Bangkok, I did see many girls from bars who married very decent farangs... and several I met who married very wealthy fellows too. I often wonder how well some of these marriages went... but the guys were not horrible losers, they were often busy entrepreneurs and business people and the ladies were beautiful, smart and charming. The idea that men don't pay for sex in general is absurd, we all do, whether we know it or not. Be it an explicit cash transaction, or a form of barter, dinner, clothes, jewellery the list is endless.

 

I'm with previous posters, that the majority of Thai hookers, unlike their Western counterparts aren't doing it to support their drug habit, but more to support their families.

 

Take a look around and tell me what young trophy wife with a rich old husband isn't essentially a hooker.....Melania Trump anyone????

I think relevant to this discussion, Thai women in general have a different attitude to sex compared to western women. Western woman have sex for fun, casual sex. Thai women dont often have casual sex for there own enjoyment. Western woman will tend to use sex as a currency within a relationship, you didnt mow the lawns your not getting sex. Thai woman dont seem to trade sex as a commodity within a relationship, Do something bad and she will still ask if you are hungry or horny, lol.

In the west, sex has a aspect of "i've got it, you want it", even within a relationship. 

In thailand the exchange appears less conditional.

If the hookers you're using are not clean, you should avoid using street hookers and switch to their slightly more expensive but much cleaner sisters, in massage parlours and gogos. They are always scrupulous about showering and will insist you meet their standard of cleanliness and hygiene too!

Plus, it seems most of my friends back home get tired of poking their bird after a couple months and drop it down to once a week, once a month, or every 90 days. Prostitution would probably be a healthy thing for those kinds of relationships.

Depends on one's definition of a hooker- hardcore or occasional freelancers. I know a number of guys with girls who 'only'work bar 1/2/3 week, lol. I wouldn't trust any of them not to <deleted> me over, which is why I pay them to go, not stay.
